RE: Change of Canadian Liner Representation to MOL (Canada) Inc.
Dear MOL Customer:
MOL (America) Inc. and Montship, Inc. today jointly announced that their liner agent agreement will expire on July 31, 2013. Effective August 1, 2013, MOL (Canada) Inc. will take over the operation to serve the Canadian market.
Montship has successfully represented MOL’s Canadian liner services for 53 years and both MOL and Montship are pleased with the long-standing partnership.
“Montship has been a fantastic partner for MOL for a long time and we have had an extremely satisfying relationship,” said Tsuyoshi Yoshida, president/chief executive officer, MOL (America) Inc. “We are thankful for their professionalism, hard work, and dedication in assisting our liner business in the Canadian market. It is because of this tremendous support that MOL’s services have evolved to the point where we are able to further expand MOL own operation to meet growing demand in Canada.”
“Representing MOL in Canada for the past 53 years has been a great honor and a high privilege,” said Brian McDonald, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Montship Inc. “MOL has always been focused on customer service, and their commitment to the Canadian market has been unwavering. We are proud to have contributed to their success, and wish them the very best going forward.”
All other agent agreements between MOL’s non-liner divisions and Montship will continue without interruption. MOL has four weekly services to/from Vancouver now and will start Asia/Halifax service from June 17.
Further details regarding MOL (Canada) Inc. will be communicated in the near future.
