Europe – South Africa (SRX service) - Engine failure Maersk Lavras (voyage173B)

Dear Customers,

We regret to advise that the Maersk Lavras (voyage 173B) operating on our SRX service has experienced an engine failure on her northbound voyage to Europe.

The engine has been repaired successfully and the vessel has resumed her voyage to Europe. The vessel is proceeding to Europe (first port of call Algeciras, Spain) at a safe speed - roughly half of the normal operating speed.

As a result the ETA at Algeciras has been revised to the 7th of August (previous ETA 30th of July). You will find a full schedule update on our webpage soonest.

We will continue monitoring the situation and will update you on any further developments or contingencies, as and when information is available.

We apologize for this unforeseen incident and the inconvenience caused.

Should you have any questions, please contact your local MOL customer service representative.

Sincerely,

MOL (Europe) B.V.
