Transportation of In-Bond Merchandise in the United States (Update)


Dear MOL Customer,

 

Further to our December 7, 2017 notice, please be advised that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has extended the implementation dates for the amended regulations for the transportation of in-bond merchandise in the United States by six-months.

 

While the new implementation dates for some of the in-bond rule requirements are on July 2, 2018 and August 6, 2018, CBP has not set a date for implementation of the provision requiring the six-digit HTSUS code to be supplied on the manifests for shipments moving in-bond.

 

MOL will provide further updates as may become necessary. In the meantime, for more information regarding the extended implementation dates, please visit the CBP website:
