MOL (Asia) Announces New Senior Appointments in the Regions

January 9, 2014 – Hong Kong – MOL (Asia) Ltd. today announced various new senior appointments in Asia.

MOL Asia’s Chairman and Managing Director Michael Goh said, "To be a true global player and operator, MOL believes its work force should have people with international orientation, outlook and background to maintain and expand our business. We are happy to announce the following new assignments for some of our highly-talented and experienced middle management staff in Asia: 

Change in Country Directors
Mr. Francis Li will relocate from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur as Country Director, Malaysia to replace Justin Chuo. Francis graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Shipping and Transport Logistics from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and joined MOL in November 2007. Prior to joining MOL, Francis worked with OOCL for 19 years in various capacities. Since joining MOL, Francis has been responsible for Intra-Asia Trade.

Mr. PJ Ng will relocate from Singapore to Dubai, UAE as Country Director for Middle East & East Africa to replace Jennis Joseph. PJ joined MOL in 1995 after working for the Singapore Navy and Sealand. Since joining MOL, PJ has worked in both Trade (Intra Asia & North South) and Area Management. He has been in his current position as Country Director, MOL Singapore since 2011.

Mr. Jennis Joseph will relocate from Dubai to Jakarta as Country Director, Indonesia to replace Jayadi. Jennis has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Following his 16-year tenure with NYK and Hanjin, he joined MOL in 2007. After a stint in MOL India, Jennis relocated to the UAE in September 2010 as the Country Director for the Middle East and the East Africa countries.

Mr. Justin Chuo will relocate from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore as Country Director to replace PJ Ng. Justin is a graduate from the Canadian University in Sarawak with major in Business Administration. Justin joined MOL in 1990 after working in the local shipping industry since 1980. Since joining MOL Malaysia, Justin has worked in Johor and is currently based in Kuala Lumpur. He was promoted as Country Director, MOL Malaysia in 2010.

Change in Sales Process Leader
Mr. Tok Liang Goh will assume responsibility in Singapore as Regional Sales Process Leader for the ASEAN South Region replacing PJ. Tok Liang joined MOL in January 2013 after a stint of 22 years with APL. He will continue to work with ASEAN South Sales Process Managers to further refine and enhance our business processes.

Francis, Jennis and Justin will report to Sundeep Sibal, Regional Director for the ASEAN South and Oceania Region, whilst PJ will report to Vivek Kale, Regional Director for the West Asia Region. Tok Liang will have dual reporting to Justin and Sundeep for local Singapore and ASEAN South Regional Sales Process respectively.

They will all begin to transition to their new roles post Chinese New Year and expect to complete by end May, 2014.
