MOL Enhances Intra-Asia Service Network: New Services “CVT”and“CVT2”


February 28, 2014 – Hong Kong – MOL Liner Ltd. (MOL) today announced an enhancement of its Intra-Asia service network. MOL will offer two new services “CVT” and“CVT2” to further enhance the China-Vietnam and China-Thailand network on top of the existing service networks: PSX on wayport and CBE/CBW via transshipment at Busan.

CVT

CVT will be jointly operated by MOL and Regional Container Lines (RCL) on three vessels. CVT offers competitive transit time (Qingdao- Ho Chi Ming, 7 days; Qingdao - Laem Chabang, 10 days) and it realizes direct connection from Thailand to Manila on the Northbound rotation.

Rotation:                                  Qingdao (Wed/Wed) – Shanghai (Fri/Fri) – Cat Lai (Wed/Thu) – Laem Chabang (Sat/Sat) – Bangkok (Sun/Sun) – Laem Chabang (Mon/Tue) – Manila (Fri/Sat) – Qingdao (Wed/Wed)

Commencement of “CVT”:    N/B MV MOL Horizon Bangkok ETA April 6, 2014

                                                    S/B MV MOL Horizon Qingdao ETA April 16, 2014

CVT2 

CVT2 is set up to meet the demand from Ningbo to Thailand and to link Thailand - Ho Chi Ming - China on the Northbound rotation.  CVT2 is operated by RCL, and MOL will charter space on this service.

 

Rotation:                                  Ningbo (Thu/Fri) – Shanghai (Sat/Sun) – Laem Chabang (Sat/Sun) – Bangkok (Sun/Mon) – Laem Chabang (Mon/Tue) – Cat Lai (Thu/Thu) – Ningbo (Thu/Fri)
