MOL (America) Inc. Names Michael Checchi as Vice President, Area Operations
MARCH 10, 2014 – Lombard, IL – MOL (America) Inc. is pleased to welcome Mr. Michael Checchi to the position of vice president, area operations. He will lead MOL’s equipment, intermodal services, contract management, and operations administration groups for the United States and Canada and he will report to Mr. Richard Craig, executive vice president for sales and operations.
“We’re excited to have someone with Mr. Checchi’s background to lead our operations department,” said Craig. “His extensive leadership credentials and wide-ranging ability in various facets of logistics will be a tremendous asset to MOL in this role.”
Mr. Checchi served as the director of intermodal operations for OOCL for the past 13 years where he directed rail and motor carrier services procurement. He has also served in various operations roles with Matson Intermodal System, Inc. and APL Land Transport Services. He earned his undergraduate business administration degree from California State University, East Bay.
