Trucker Strike at Ningbo Ports

Dear MOL Customers,

We would like to provide you with an update on the operations at the Ningbo Container Ports.

We received confirmation of a trucker strike earlier on Tuesday that several hundred container truckers gathered at the Ningbo ports staging a protest for trucking rate hikes. Despite the efforts of the local government, the transport and forwarder associations in the past few days, the situation remains dismal with reports on serious blockage to both inbound and outbound traffic to and from the terminals and depots. In view of the ongoing disruptions to the ports’ and depots’ daily operations, as contingency measures we requested for ongoing assistance from other loading ports to take up additional cargoes and our team is also helping customers reroute cargoes to Shanghai.

MOL is monitoring the development very closely and we will continue to keep you informed of the latest situations. For additional information or questions on our shipment arrangement, please contact your local sales representative. Thank you for your cooperation and support as always.

Yours Sincerely,

MOL Liner Ltd.
