New MOL (America) Inc. Refrigerated Chassis Policy- Effective May 18, 2015


Dear MOL Customer:                                    

 

Effective on Monday, May 18, 2015, MOL (America) Inc. will no longer be the provider of a chassis on refrigerated container yard moves (will not impact store door delivery moves) regardless of whether the move requires a genset or not.

 

MOL will implement the following chassis policy changes: 

 

Chassis Pool Changes:

 

  • U.S. East Coast: There will be no chassis pool change for our customers.

  • U.S. West Coast: A chassis provider will have a pool chassis with an MOL mounted genset available for dispatch to meet your demand at the same dispatch locations that you are already accustomed to using today. For refrigerated moves that do not require a genset, you have the flexibility to use any pool chassis or motor carrier/trucker provided chassis. 

     

Chassis Reimbursement Changes:

 

  • U.S. West Coast, U.S. East Coast and Intermodal locations: MOL will no longer reimburse your motor carrier for the daily chassis rental/per-diem fee. 

 

The agreement to move a refrigerated container and the responsibility to pay for the chassis will be decided between you and your motor carrier/trucker.
