Shipments to and from Madagascar: Advanced Cargo Declaration (ACD) is required effective 1st December 2015


Dear valued customer, According to the Government of Madagascar, Advanced Cargo Declaration (ACD) is compulsory for shipments to and from Madagascar effective 1st December 2015 as per shipment loading date. Advance Cargo Declaration is applicable as follows:


In case of import to Madagascar
:

  •  Effective 1st December, 2015 according to shipment loading date
  •  Customers should obtain and provide an Entry Summary Number (ENS) for their respective shipments
  •  ENS number must be provided to the Carrier in booking stage including booking note
  •  ENS number must be shown on the Bill of Lading and ship manifest.


In case of export from Madagascar
:

  •  Effective 1st December, 2015 according to shipment loading date
  •  Customers should obtain and provide an Exit Summary Number (EXS) for their respective shipments
  •  EXS number must be provided to the Carrier in booking stage including booking note
  •  EXS number must be shown on the Bill of Lading and ship manifest


Customers should make sure correct ENS/EXS is provided, Carrier will not hold responsible for any penalties, storage or relevant charges incurred.
